Oil Painting Classes and Pastel Workshops
Welcome to our Art School in County Meath, where we hold art classes for both Oil Painting and Pastel Drawing.
If you’re looking to learn oil painting in a relaxed and friendly environment, our beginner-friendly workshops are the perfect place to start. Whether you’ve never held a paintbrush before or you’re returning to art after years away, we offer a warm, supportive space to explore your artistic potential.
Our painting studio is nestled in the heart of County Meath, ideally located between Dunboyne, Kilcock, Maynooth, Summerhill, and Dunshaughlin—just 25 minutes from Trim and Clonee. We regularly welcome students from across Ireland, including Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Westmeath, and even Limerick.
Each workshop is tailored to suit the season and the needs of our students. We cater to complete beginners as well as those at an intermediate level. With a maximum of six participants per class, we ensure personalised, step-by-step instruction that feels like one-on-one tuition.
These adult art classes are ideal for anyone who wants to learn to paint in oils, develop their own style, or simply reconnect with their creative side. Whether you’re learning to mix colours, apply new techniques, or build confidence in your brushwork, our workshops are designed to help you grow as an artist.
For our NEW OIL PAINTING PROGRAMME 2025/2026, we are offering: –
This morning oil painting workshop is designed for those who are new to oil painting, want to brush up on their knowledge of oil painting or have never had any formal training. All materials provided for the morning and all going well you will take home two paintings that you create.
These oil painting classes are designed for those of you who want to learn to paint in oils.
They are mixed levels and absolute beginners are welcomed. Full hands-on step by step tuition is provided and each student works on a painting originally created by an old master artist.
Pastel Drawing Workshop
These 3 pastel drawing workshops are designed for the complete beginner. Within these workshops, we will be doing some loosing up drawings and looking at works by the old masters such as Van Gogh, Munch, Picasso, Peploe, any many more. Suitable for the complete beginner and all materials will be supplied for the workshop.

Who is your tutor for these oil painting workshops?
I’m Emily, a professional artist who has run hundreds of oil painting workshops in my art school. Taking each beginner student gently on and through their own painting journey, so that they can tackle any painting by the old masters. The techniques I teach help each student to master and go on to develop their own style of painting and skill to create their very own originals.
