A Note from Our Small Studio…
We’re a small independent studio, and every piece is created with care and intention. We kindly ask customers to choose thoughtfully before purchasing, as each artwork represents many hours of work and a deeply personal creative process. As a one‑person studio, we also rely on art packers to ensure every painting is safely prepared for shipping – a cost we cannot recover if an order is later withdrawn. While we fully honour the legal right to withdraw, we deeply appreciate your understanding and consideration when making your decision.
Your 14‑day right of withdrawal
If you are located in the EU, EEA, Ireland, or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory 14‑day right to withdraw from most online purchases of physical goods. This period begins on the day your order is delivered. This right is granted under EU Directive 2023/2673 (for EU/EEA customers) and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (for UK customers).
Customers outside these regions do not have a statutory right of withdrawal.
How to exercise your right
To begin a withdrawal request, please complete the form below.
You will receive an automatic confirmation email once your request is registered.
Submitting the form does not automatically guarantee acceptance.
We must verify that:
- your request was submitted within the legal 14‑day period, and
- your purchase is not one of the statutory exemptions listed below.
Once confirmed, refunds are processed within the legal timeframe that applies to your purchase.
When the 14‑day period begins
- Physical goods: 14 days from the day you receive the item.
- Digital content: 14 days from the moment the download or access begins (unless you chose immediate access and waived this right).
Statutory exemptions (items you cannot withdraw from)
The right of withdrawal does not apply to the following categories.
If your purchase falls into one of these, the form below cannot be used.
1. Workshops and fixed‑date events
Workshops are classified as leisure activities scheduled for a specific date.
They are non‑refundable, non‑transferable, and cannot be rescheduled.
2. Commissioned or custom‑made artwork
Any artwork created to your individual specifications (e.g., custom portraits, bespoke sizes, personalised requests) is exempt from the 14‑day withdrawal right.
3. Digital products (downloads, guides, PDFs)
Digital content delivered immediately and accessed or downloaded after purchase is non‑refundable once you have chosen to receive it instantly and acknowledged that doing so waives your withdrawal right.
4. In‑person purchases (studio or market stall)
Items purchased directly from the studio or at Merrion Square are considered on‑premises sales and are not eligible for the 14‑day withdrawal right. Returns are only accepted if the item is faulty.
5. Gift vouchers that have been redeemed
Gift vouchers purchased online may be cancelled within 14 days only if they remain unused.
The withdrawal right ends immediately once any portion of the voucher code is redeemed.
Before you submit the form
Please ensure:
- your request is within the 14‑day period
- your purchase is eligible (not one of the exemptions above)
- you are located in the EU, EEA, Ireland, or the UK
Once submitted, we will review your request and confirm the next steps by email.
Use this form to exercise your withdrawal right under applicable EU consumer protection law. Submitting it registers your request and we will confirm by email; it does not by itself mean the withdrawal is accepted.
Your withdrawal is subject to the legal deadlines and conditions: the 14-day period (for goods, counted from delivery; for digital content, from the start of the download) and the statutory exceptions to the right of withdrawal. We verify these before confirming, so submitting a request does not by itself guarantee its acceptance.
